Fascial Counterstrain
Fascia is a structural component of every body system. Fascial counterstrain facilitates the lymphatic drainage of trapped inflammation. This reduces pain and stress on the autonomic nervous system which supports regulation of our immune system as well as our fight or flight responses. You can read here for a full description of what fascial counterstrain is. And you can read the science behind fascial counterstrain in Tuckey et al’s research, published in 2021.
