Social Communication
This group is all about straight up interacting with other people. We can make it as simple or complicated as the group wants. Each week, I show up with a little bit of structure to keep the flow feeling predictable (but not rigid) and a variety of activities for us to do together that are based on participant interests or goals. If you’re feeling shy, you don’t have to share your interests or have goals. You just need to show up with a willingness to be present and curious.
What kinds of activities? Anything from reviewing movies and group games, to creating shared playlists, collaborative art, researching and sharing about someone’s specific interest or just showing up and feeling safe to be yourself in a group.
Not a big talker? That’s totally fine. Observation is participation and not all communication is spoken. If you’re present, you’re part of the group. If you’re opting for a nap in the corner every week, I will likely follow up just to make sure the group feels meaningful for you. But also, my couch is pretty comfy so I wouldn’t blame you!

sensational: exploration of our senses, emotions and self-expression
Explore how your body experiences sensation, the connection between sensation and emotions, and adapt or create your own somatic vocabulary and tools for self-expression. Each week you’ll learn about interoception (one of our senses!), play with language, sound and movement, and try out tools that support your unique experience and communication needs.
This workshop is for you if any of these feel familiar:
emotion words don’t always fit or match your experience
metaphors feel more meaningful than emotion words
others need your experience “translated” to fully understand
you’re not sure what your body is sensing
emotions can be sound, color, something other than words
